Playwright Kathryn Graf has been busy writing for eight years. Her play Hermetically Sealed recently closed a four-month run in Los Angeles at The Skylight Theatre, garnering various award nominations. See ‘Plays’ Ms. Graf started writing when she wrote and then performed her one-woman play, Surviving David, which chronicled her first year as a young widow. (L.A., 2100 Square Feet) (Outstanding Solo Show award, NYC Fringe Festival) (Screenplay adaptation currently under option). She’s written many stage and screenplays since: Poor Pretty Birds (produced, Philipstown Depot Theatre, NY). The Stiff (finalist, 2010 Tennessee Williams One-Act Competition) (Tri-State Actors Theater’s 2011 Reading Series). Screenplays The Good Widow and She Woke Up (honored, 2010 Writers’ Digest Writing Competition. She is the author of the award-winning children’s book Always My Dad (Mom’s Choice Award, gold medal). Kathryn is a member of the Dramatist Guild of America.
Before writing, Kathryn worked for over twenty years as an actress on stage, screen and radio. She has guest-starred in dozens of television shows including ER, Courthouse, Presidio Med and a recurring role on the soap, Passions. In addition, she has done over a hundred commercials and voice-overs. She is the mother of two boys.
